Germany - Bielefeld to Cologne

There is so much detail in the stonework surrounding the entrance to Cologne Cathedral. The outside of the Cathedral seems to be black and dirty but it isn't really. The sandstone in the building has just reacted with the acid in rain over time making the cathedral a dark grey.
